2. Fit Thermostatic Radiator Valves

Thermostatic radiator valves allow you to individually control the temperature of every radiator in your home, meaning that you don’t use waste energy in parts of your house that aren’t in use or that you don’t want to be as warm as other parts of the house.

Thermostatic radiator valves can be adjusted using a series of 5 settings ranging in temperature from around 10 degrees to 25 degrees, as well as being able to turn them off completely, while still ensuring enough heat is getting through to stop the pipes from freezing.

3. Ensure You Have Your Boiler Serviced Every Year

Your annual boiler service will make sure your boiler is running efficiently as well as safely. Simply cleaning out parts of the boiler during a service can ensure that it runs at maximum efficiency. Your annual service can also allow your heating engineer to identify issues before they become a problem, thereby reducing the risk of costly repairs at a later date.  Generally, your boiler manufacturer will require that the boiler be serviced annually in order to maintain the warranty.
